Something different is going on today...

There’s something going on today that was hardly prevalent when I was growing up. I remember when I was in my twenties the generation gap was wide, a veritable chasm. Adults generally were emblematic of what we didn’t want to be or do. The spirit of the time was to accumulate adventures, not money. There was rebelliousness in the air. Many just wanted to leave, to go out into the world without any real sense of where they were heading. Not quite so today. It seems, to paraphrase Bob Dylan, that

Looking Forward...

2016 was a wonderfully productive year for Linley Foundation. We built on our programs in pre-school literacy, job training for young adults between 18-30 years, and expanded our two animal welfare initiatives. This year (2017) we will graduate all of our first two-year cycle job-training students.  None dropped out, and after two years of academic perseverance they are ready to transition to the world of work. We were delighted with their poise and confidence. It was amazing. What a
